This weekend we began shooting the promo for Envy of the State, who are being looked after by the same people who take care of band of the moment Lost Prophets. Shot using one of the new DSLR cameras, the first cut is looking great, with the second shoot coming up soon, it's going to be a great year for these guys.

Commissioned the week before Christmas by Andy Mac at Skint Records, we shot and delivered the new video for legendary dance group XPress-2 on the 12th January. Classic visuals, three stunning dancers and brilliant a track have started 2010 in an excellent way. Watch out for it soon!

James recently co-directed a short feature to be entered in a 24 hour film competition, and won the top prize. Choosing to experiment, he shot it entirely on one of the new style digital SLR cameras capable of full HD video recording. The results were great, and as a result Studio JK:AK are investing in one as soon as possible!

Next week, JK:AK are off to Iceland (with not a coked up scouser in sight) to begin filming the new promo for legendary hip-hop producer Daddy Skitz. Expect plenty of epic landscapes, lets just hope Rodney P can take the cold! Brrrrrrr!

The mighty Defected Records have decided to extend the scope of the documentary we began producing for them earlier this year to include more countries, to create a greater global impact. Watch this space for the latest news as this exciting project gathers pace!
